WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?
They are gels with hyaluronic acid in them as a base, which is then injected into the areas, of the face to correct wrinkles, or fill in the deep scars or non-surgically change the shape of certain parts of the face. The hyaluronic acid is a substance which is found naturally in the body , and with time the dermal filler breaks down via a normal body processes.
HOW ARE DERMAL FILLERS DIFFERENT?
Dermal fillers are more effective, than other wrinkle correction methods. Also they do not cause any loss of ability to contract your facial muscles, they also allow greater precision in wrinkle correction.
Dermal filler are more effective with regards to treatment of boxcar scars, deep divots and icepick scars. Unlike other methods of changing the shape of your face(like nose,lips,or cheeks) dermal fillers offer more advantage of being non-permanent and creating a generally more youthful look. Dermal fillers allow you to experiment with different facial changes in a non-permanent way.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?
Every 9-12 months a dermal filler treatment is needed
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCEDURE OF INJECTION THE DERMAL FILLER ?
The doctor will discuss about your background, and medical history at your initial consultation before proceeding.
The doctor will then sketch out a treatment plan, which sets out how they can use dermal fillers, associated in conjunction with other techniques and tools to create the face which you want.
Your First Dermal Filler Appointment:
- The dermal filler used , would contain a local anaesthetic , which makes it feel comfortable
- The area to be injected is to be marked out
- After the dermal fillers are injected, the doctor then applies cold packs immediately
Mineral make-up, then completes the look and allows you to resume your daily activity.
This procedure, takes about 30-60 minutes in total, depending on the size of the area to be treated.
IS IT PAINFUL?
With local anaesthesia, the pain would be rated for the dermal filler injection , would be around about 0.5/10
Without local anaesthesia, we would rate the pain on a scale of 2.5/10 of dermal filler injection.
